The Korea - Yeosu, Jeollanam-do — On the 20th, Yeosu City (Mayor Jeong Gimyeong) announced that Hi-Tech Engineering Co., Ltd. (CEO Jang Young) had donated a Staria vehicle to the Wisdom Maru Daycare Center for seniors with dementia. The donation was made through the Jeollanam-do Community Chest to support the transportation needs of the elderly using the center, ensuring their safe and convenient travel.
Hi-Tech Engineering has contributed to the purchase of a Staria van (worth approximately 37 million KRW) to help the center provide safe transportation for seniors. Wisdom Maru has been offering essential services such as hobbies, entertainment, exercise, meals, and dementia prevention programs for frail seniors. With the new vehicle, the center expects to enhance its ability to offer reliable and safe transportation for its users.
Shin Mi-kyung, Director of Wisdom Maru, expressed gratitude by saying, "We deeply appreciate Hi-Tech Engineering's commitment to the community. This donation will greatly ease the transportation challenges faced by our seniors, and we will continue striving to provide even better care."
Meanwhile, Hi-Tech Engineering CEO Jang Young is a member of the "Honor Society," a group of major donors under the Community Chest of Korea. Since 2005, he has consistently contributed to improving the living conditions of vulnerable groups, including children, youth, and seniors, through various volunteer activities.
